ADV "KIHd System" for Educators - Research has found that educators serving children with special needs  spend an enormous amount of time collecting data.  Unfortunately the data often goes unused when determining the daily teaching approaches needed to support a child’s individual success.  The ADV "KIHd System" for Educators is a web based application that allows educators to establish a specific curriculum for each student they want to track observable behaviors.  Behaviors can be tracked based on 4 data types:

  1. Single Step - Negligible Duration
  2. Single Step - Measurable Duration
  3. Multi - Step - Sequential
  4. Multi-Step - Repetitive

These data types are used in determining the functionallity of each screen for accurate data collection:

  • Start/Stop,
  • Start / Complete / Incomplete,
  • Step 1... Step 2... Step 3... Step 4.
  • Correctness, Incorrectness, or Skipped, for repetitive instructions.

The ADV "KIHd System" for Educators is designed to manage the relationships between the individuals involved in a child’s education.  Each supported location is represented by an Account that is the top of a hierarchy tree.  An unlimited number of ‘Groups' may be created and each Group establishes  the curriculum relationships between Data Collectors and Subjects.  Each Data Collector is linked to the students they work with.  This method of hierarchy is designed to sustain security and accurate accountability of collected information.

Each Subject/Student has individual Targets, Secondary Behaviors, Reinforcers, and Notes that can expand as new challenges and education requirements become apparent, while maintaining the history and trends that have occurred during the previous Sessions and Trials.  Data is organized by Domains, Skill Areas, and Skill Objectives for reporting on each Target.

In the ADV "KIHd System" for Educators, licenses to use the application are purchased in advance based on the number of Data Collectors and the number of Subject/Students.  Each Data Collector license allows them to have 10 Subjects.  Additional Subjects or Data Collectors require additional licenses.  In the ADV KIHd System each Subject may be linked to a Read Only User that can view only that Subject’s data and Notes.  This is designed for the parents of the Subjects to allow them to view the development and communicate about changing environments in the Subject’s life.

This system has many applications but is initially being marketed for its intended audience of educators of special needs children in a school that monitors and educates based on an individual education plan and whose goals and objectives are documented and supported by the daily efforts in the classroom.  The ADV “KIHd System” allows for creating and managing the unique curriculum for each Subject,  defining the appropriate Domain, Skill Area, Skill Objective and Targets that each Subject is currently working on, collecting actual Session and Trial details as they happen, and viewing the history of those sessions and trial details over time in graphical format.  From this information, Teachers, Educators, and Data Collectors can see all of the learning trends, based on Accuracy, Frequency, Latency, Duration, Fluency, Quality and Intensity, as well as review any session-based anecdotal notes.

All data captured in real time from hand held devices or internet connected equipment is stored in a secure encrypted data base.  The system also has the capability to be used with Video taped sessions.  Graphs are produced in real-time and are charted over time, with 100% accountability of who collected the data and the order in which it took place.
